FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE SET FOR JUNE 24
Salina, KS 06-16) Salina Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with downtown stakeholders, announces the next Friday Night Live concert event on June 24th. Friday Night Live is a series of arts and entertainment programming for Salina residents and visitors, designed to increase attendance and participation in arts-related events and to strengthen partnerships with local business owners in the downtown arts district. Each week, a free-admission Friday Night Live concert will feature music and poetry events in restaurants, bars, outdoor plazas and other venues.
On Friday June 24, the Friday Night Live free concert features three-piece band Normal Reaction. The act is made up of two Salina locals and one former Salinan who moved to Moundridge to raise his family. In one form or another, the three members have made music together for decades. Normal Reaction plays a variety of folk-rock, acoustic, indie-rock and northern blues. Engaging for all ages, the trio’s show is a perfect way to escape the heat. Admission is free. The concert takes place at Ad Astra Books & Coffee House from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on June 24.
