(Salina, KS 12-16) Salina Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with downtown stakeholders, presents Friday Night Live---an arts and entertainment series designed to increase attendance and participation in arts-related events and to strengthen partnerships with local business owners in the downtown arts district.

Each week, Friday Night Live will highlight art and culture events featuring music, poetry, visual art, book signings, etc. in restaurants, bars, shops and other venues. The FNL series is a combination of free-admission events sponsored by Friday Night Live and cover-charge events presented by local businesses, promoted through Friday Night Live stakeholders.

This week’s featured event is Friday Night Live Christmas! at Heart of Dixie, 109 N. Santa Fe. This is an exciting edition of FNL with local musicians and poets rejoicing in the holiday spirit by sharing their own versions of some Christmas favorites. Special guests include Ann Zimmerman, RoJean Loucks, Hannah Schroeder, Jaron Bell, poet Emery Dierks, John E. Epic and local bands A.M. and Quadraphonic.

Show begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free with donations at the door encouraged to benefit Salina Shares. There will be a cash bar and Heart of Dixie will serve food until 9p.m. Come help ‘deck the halls’ for a good cause with live local music, fun and fellowship.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about Friday Night Live programming for 2017. For more information, call Stacy Ash at Salina Arts & Humanities at 785-309-5770.
