On Friday, July 2 through Friday July 6, APAC Shears of Salina will continue working on the City of Salina’s annual asphalt mill and inlay project.
On Friday, July 2, APAC will begin milling Santa Fe from Elm to Pacific. Repaving work is expected to occur the week of July 12.
On Wednesday, July 7, APAC expects to begin repaving Broadway from Crawford to Ash.
The work consists of milling the existing asphalt street surface 1.5” and replacing it with new asphalt to rehabilitate and preserve the pavement section. Permanent pavement markings will be placed shortly after the resurfacing.
The work will be completed with lane closures, and adjacent occupants will be given sufficient notice and accommodations. Motorists should expect modest delays and are encouraged to avoid the work zones altogether if possible.
The $1,011,000 project is a major component of the City of Salina's $4.7 million 2021 maintenance capital improvement program.
