(Salina, KS 08-13) Salina Arts & Humanities announces its fall season of free, outdoor Art a la Carte concerts beginning Friday, September 6th.  The season opener will feature Canadian fiddler April Verch and her band. Concerts take place at the Robert Caldwell Plaza commons between the City/County Building and the Salina Public Library. The half-hour performances begin at 12:20 p.m. each Friday.

Art a la Carte concerts feature live local and regional talent, both amateur and professional, and are a great way for young artists to gain experience.  The fall concert schedule includes a variety of instruments, including jazz piano, guitar, fiddle and cello.  Several vocal groups will perform, notably Ann Zimmerman, who will debut a new album of children’s music.  Concert goers are invited to bring a brown bag or purchase lunch at one of many downtown restaurants.
