FREE New Event for Dogs and the Families Who Own Them

Salina Parks and Recreation invites the community and beyond to the first annual Bark in the Park event. Dogs and the families who own them are invited to this special event at Jerry Ivey Park on Saturday, April 26 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Fundraisers opportunities will also be available with proceeds being donated to a future dog park in Salina.

This family-friendly event will host a variety of activities including a Tails to Trails 1 mile fun walk/run, Weiner Dog Races, barn hunt, agility course, bounce houses (for kids), silent auction, entertainment and demonstrations. Local booths will also provide pet information, wellness checks, crafts, face painting, and more. The Salina Animal Shelter will also be microchipping at a discounted rate.

Sponsors that make this event possible include Always Home Pet Sitting, the Salina Animal Shelter, Mid America Awards, and the Salina Kennel Club.
